On December 11, 2024, a conference was held in the Department of Office Management and Executive Assistantship at Balıkesir University Vocational School, organized by Osman ONAT, Engineer, Balıkesir Regional Director of Forestry, on forest fire control. The speaker, Osman ONAT, provided detailed information and awareness-raising information to students on climate change, the climate change process, recent forest fires, types of forest fires, rural fires, factors affecting forest fires, heat transfer in forest fires, the movement of stakeholders responding to forest fires, fire monitoring systems, aircraft used in forest firefighting, and fire response hotlines. The conference held in our college was organized by the evening education students of Office Management and Executive Assistant Department and the Head of Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Pınar ERKAL.
